I don't know about the rest of the company but here in engineering this is a bad joke. We're all working with cut pay in the middle of a frigging pandemic and hr is still trying to force this down our throats? Its obvious they don't have the first clue how engineering works, for one thing. And no matter what they say everyone I talk to is sure this is just an excuse to deny raises, or figure out who to lay off. Its only going to be the biggest b*llsh!tters and office politicians who look good in these things anyway, the decent workers with high standards are all going to look bad. Plus we all got a big lecture on how we can't do the four day work week because we all have to be focused on the work.... but oh hey we need you to spend hours on hr bs??
Life is hard for us all right now and we're doing the best we can with our kids crawling all over us and trying to work off the kitchen table and do zoom calls with the dog barking its head off. If you try to measure us right now then we're all going to look like we s— because (if you didn't notice) WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL FREAKING PANDEMIC!
If leadership wants morale to maybe NOT be in the toilet, want to NOT lose more good people who are fed up with all the nonsense, how about backing off and lettig us just do our jobs???
