Wondering what will happen with everyone if Empire plan chooses another company. Layoffs or put In other positions within the company.

Well I dont think they would be useless to other teams. It's not like they can't be trained on something else just because they have only done Empire.
If uhc loses empire, almost all the employees in empire will most probably be laid off. They only know empire so will be useless on other teams and departments
Hopefully not let go and placed on other teams/departments
If we lose empire there will be entire teams that are dedicated to that group will be almost completely let go
As a result of NY state's financial woes, I suspect they will have have to go with the lowest bidder, regardless of quality or reputation. (I don't consider UHG's quality or reputation to be very high...)
That said, I hope UHG put in a really low bid. Empire is a large contract, and UHG isn't making much money on its other NYS plans, such as Medicaid.
I have no idea where NYS is going to get the resources to continue to provide Medicaid to the degree that it is....
When is the decision due?
