Obviously there's going to be changes even major layoffs. However, I am just going to sit and wait for my time to come. It's not that I'm lazy, and not because I don't have an education, or the job market s—s or I don't have the skills. It's because I have no reason to leave at this particular moment if I jumped ship every time there there was a merger, buyout or even listen to some of the comments on this site I'd have left years ago. The fact is I'm still here nine years later. Clearly we are in for major changes and major job loss. if it happens I go out and I get another job plain and simple.

The LR5 IS the problem.....in recent times people see crooks and thugs get rewarded while honest working people get lied to and treated badly. Guess what lessons are being taught and learned. There are two ways to lead by example.....unfortunatley the lying greedy example is the LR5's legacy.
geez I wish people would stop talking about how those of us still at the company should leave or get our resumes ready or go ahead and sit back and wait for your day to come there'll be no severance left blah blah blah blah blah. First of all one's resume should always be updated and ready to go. Secondly, stop worrying about what we should do and what we shouldn't do.everybody's situation is different and if we want to stay until they tell us not to come back no more that's our prerogative stop b–ching on here about what we should do and what we shouldn't do. We all know major changes are coming we get it I'm not leaving until they tell me I no longer have a job. Why do people have a problem with that???if you are still working for Windstream and you're on the site b**** and complaining about everything before we even know for certain what's going to happen you're part of the problem.
A merger is one thing bankruptcy is another. The problem with a major layoff is the market is flooded with people from similar background and skills. You don't look that attractive to an employer when there are 10 others just like you. Get ahead of the curve and get your feet wt. Look at linked in and other sites to see what is out there.
When you do get let go the severance isn't going to be there like it has in the past. I hope you are saving your $$$ and have a plan B!
