What’s comical was seeing your 330 lb wife in a tank top and xxxl shorts at Wal Mart.
Bunch of hicks up there in LeMars thinking 35K is making good money. Comical!
I know damn well you are from Le Mars with that comment about Tru Moo. Wells was the name everyone knew and trusted. Deans comes in and no one wanted a sniff of it so shifted to HyVee and Fareway or Wal Mart at the time circa 2009 unknowingly to the average consumer that the Le Mars plant still bottled the milk.
“Atta boys” was the term used at Le Mars by management.
Deans had to pay drivers a $5,000 sign on bonus. For what???? Just so you can sit on a lay-off board in a loading dock and brag about wives and daughters.
Re: Dairy Pure.
Yeah, Dean Foods has a long history of ignoring their own marketing research. When we got bought by Dean Foods they said right away that the were eliminating our local brand. When GM and Sales Manager pitched a fit, they did some marketing research that showed the local brand had well over 90% name brand recognition and brand was loved. Dean Foods brand recognition was virtually nonexistent. Local brand eliminated anyway and sales shifted even further to private label.
Same thing happened with the Tru Moo Pepsi Challenge type taste tests...taste tests done in grocery stores- tasters picked competitors chocolate milk over 75% of the time. Data ignored. Initial sales numbers were artificially inflated by school milk but took a big hit after the school season. Atta boys given for best sales of Tru Moo even though best sales territories were at around 80% of pre-Tru Moo chocolate milk sales and most were far worse.
If sales is so great how come they couldn't save Berkeley Farms or Meadow Gold Hawaii?
Ups is untouched freight you do know that you back in a door the customer takes it off
Drivers are lazy bums. They won’t help load trucks. Only swing the doors open and shut and sign paperwork. They don’t even check the quality of the cases or items. If it’s in a crate or package they deliver no matter condition. Including leaky cases to school cafeterias.
You ha ha would not last 2 stops at UPS. The nagging alone from dispatch would grind you worse than your fat wife.
The number are manipulated to read what every manager wants. If there are more than 15 drops on a truck the driver is lying. They only need need a class c license on local deliveries because they can’t find drivers. If there is a half truck on some days it should be six hours. But they will milk it. DSD’s make there money as do doubles. They want to complain then do the UPS and Fed ex. You will not survive a week. Load your own truck and I guarantee you will be gone by first break. Get lost slackers. You are useless.
Are you saying ups freight drivers make 120 deliveries a day j-itbag
120 deliveries a day per DRIVER genius. How many drops you got? 7 stops?
And you aren’t at 100%?
You make 120 deliveries a day?
UPS and Fed Ex are similar to a milk driver? UPS and Fed Ex average 120 stops a day just FYI.
Go hide back under your rock troll.
99% is accurate so go inside your plant and check
Cooler accuracy??? HA!!! Some of those guys have to go off the color of the caps because they don’t know how to count.
Is that 99% you reference the order accuracy, line item accuracy, or unit accuracy. Coming out of coolers without a WMS they are at 98 or lower right out of the gate. I don’t think a 99% order accuracy rate nationwide is correct.
It should but the biggest transportation companies are the same percentage ups fed ex so I guess there sleeping on the job as well but yet are stroll as big as they are
Should be 100%.
- 9% means you are missing an important stop....losing another customer as usual.
I’ll have you know the delivery rate for driver completion in a day nationwide is 99% so yes they can handle new work so instead of putting drivers down this is a driver calling you out to put new work on the table and stop using excuses for lack of sales
DFA is more than illiterate route drivers that can't speak English. Affirmative action in play. Only at DFA (Dean Foods)
“Get rid of dairy pure and pick up every supermarket school prison hospital nursing home and this company can bounce back.”
Nice thought...drivers couldn’t handle it though. They can’t even handle the 4 stops they make daily as it is without sleeping for 2 hours in between stops
Liar
Get rid of dairy pure and pick up every supermarket school prison hospital nursing home and this company can bounce back they were bought out by a co op they should corner the market
Dairy pure this and Dairy pure that. I personally know an operator who’s lab numbers came in way hot on a 90,000 gallon tank of dairy pure milk. He watered the living piss out of it to get the fat content down and the lab approved the move.
Terrible.
Dairy Pure was the beginning of the end, I was in the huge meeting room at the G–lord hotel in Grapevine Texas when Ralph announced the Dairy Pure brand and the expectation of the stock price getting up to $20 per share in the near future. All of the plant managers in the room and those that understood the milk business listened to the marketing c-ap spewing from the front of the room with disbelief, knowing it would not work. All were wondering why the company was wasting so much money to bring leadership together for this ra ra meeting when they were making us pinch pennies at the plant and not invest in the people or equipment. We saw the writing in the wall at that point.
You’re missing the point. Deans didn’t file bankruptcy because of Dairy Pure.
Milk is declining year over year genius. Alternative milk consumption is up 300% and make way better margins.
Dean’s had their hands in the wrong jar. You also think it’s a coincidence alternative meat sales are skyrocketing?
The company never wanted to change with the market. Wal Mart said take a hike. That was all she wrote. You wanna get in here and complain then be educated enough to understand the industry you work in.
It had to be sold. And sales failed. Sales wanted it and got it. Commercials and all. Millions in wasted money. Cooperate approved also. Over 2 dollars more per gallon. Five points of rip off. All milk has the same quality control. Stupid marketing. Now we actually have a reason to blame sales. The rest of the business is just too keep volume in plants no matter the low percentage. Business 101. Also the return policy is the best in the business so why not take advantage. They set themselves up for failure.
They made dairy pure out to be Pepsi or coke of milk why bc a majority of the corporate big wigs came from there
Dairy Pure is a dead brand. If DFA wants to succeed they need to go back to regional brands and not expect the 2 dollar increase. It is called competition. The biggest issue Dairy Pure had was it was a NATIONAL brand so people had no idea where it was from. The market is local realize it. Your buyer is smarter than the sales force.
Thats funny. I work in the upper midwest and we were so not busy for the holidays I only had 8 hours o.t. from nov.1 through January. All those stores listed is probably b.s. because dairy pure is not available in a lot of mom and pops and all your bigger stores have several different brands of milk so their customers have a choice. Sales doesn't do anything to get in there.
Sales runs the company because higher ups all started in sales and don't know sh– about rest of the business. Wouldn't be so bad if sales was suceeding at sales but they're not.
Actually these days sales runs the company idk why though
If I was your plant manager I’d fire you first since you sound like a whiny baby always complains on here about sales. Then I would fire any salesman who lies and is unethical. I could just pluck a young college grad looking for a start for half the salary. At least I’d get a guy hungry and wanting to bust his butt.
Lies
Sales also established new accounts that were lost by drivers not showing up with the milk.
I saw a driver use a power jack to move 3 crates one time.
Sales has already tried to establish that calling them out on a code of conduct violation that they admitted violating is itself a code of conduct violation.
Dear M. Creamer. That is why you are not a plant manager. You would try to uphold company policy. As a plant manager you only hold up what YOU want. Good luck with your climb the ladder dream. Just ask them to spit sometimes so it does not hurt.
If I was a plant manager I would fire you in a heartbeat for code of conduct violations.
"It is there discretion to close you up and amend contracts."
Close plants? Yes
Amend contracts? No
Changes to contracts require negotiations and agreement by both sides...except in the case of bankruptcy.
Pension??? What pension? Those will be tied up in the courts for quite some time. You will be in a casket before you even see one dime. Those at the top including lawyers get paid first.
