Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

The worst employer

I've worked for several major companies for a total of thirty years, the last eight of that has been with Allstate. I can tell you with certainty I am yet to find a place that treats its employees this poorly. Actually, this is the only company where I have noticed that the longer you work here, the less you are appreciated. It feels like they want us to quit as soon as we cross a certain pay threshold and they are doing everything in their power to make it happen. And if that fails, there are always layoffs.

I regret the day I joined Allstate.

And forget about taking time off! Nobody covers for anyone, so coming back from any time off is a nightmare!

Allstate was the worst employer in my 15 year work history. Home office functioned as a cult. I now stay away from any organization that uses the term “family”. What a joke

I have been retired from Allstate for over a decade. It has taken me this entire time to not get depressed on Sunday night. Once Allstate became a stock company, it all changed.
I am so thankful every day that I only see that company in my rear view mirror. You guys truly have my sympathy.

Customers are seeing what Allstate is doing . They complain about getting transferred to India , lowballed on estimates , etc

Don’t know anyone here who enjoys the work or feels appreciated?
Most have become salty since they do way more work per person and for less pay than the other top competitors. Look at adds. Ask people. We are literally working for the stingiest insurance company out there. We stick around believing in the kool-aid it’s gonna change hype.
How many people feel sick on Sunday nights thinking of how busy/brutal the stacked up work on Monday will be??
Most in my office feels this and dread the weekends enduring.
