How’s everyone feeling about Macy’s “requiring” customers to wear masks but then adding the disclaimer that customers can not be refused service or entry for not wearing mask due to health reasons? Playing both sides of the fence and will end in a s$!? show for sure!!!

At this point everyone should wear a mask. If you’re not that just foolish.
Macy's will never close on Thanksgiving and nothing will change for Black Friday either. Macy's does NOT care about their store associates. PERIOD as demonstrated about the "required" masks "policy" that we can't enforce.
Macy’s does not care about there employees at all . The situation is very bad no cleaning, no venalation, at some point employees will start getting this virus from the customers It’s awful!!!
Macy's is afraid of their customer
Walmart just announce that they will end the tradition on opening on Thanksgiving day. Sooner or later other retailers will announce closing on Thanksgiving day. Black Friday has been a tradition for shoppers to go shopping and find gifts for there love ones. This year is different or maybe next year too. Will Macy's open on Thanksgiving day? Will customers wear masks at a Macy's store on Black Friday? This kind of policy that Macy's have is ridiculous.
But management can't force a sales associate to serve a customer without a mask or that appears sick. It hasn't happened in our location, but I'd call a manager and let them take care of the customer. Big Ticket. Selling furniture to a customer without a mask is above my pay grade.
40 minutes to purchase a pair of socks? Why bother to subject yourself to such dismal shopping environment for $10 expenditure?!!
Imagine what's going to happen on tax free weekend. Alot of employees and customers being infected with COVID-19. Macy's must required customers to wear masks when they are shopping. This virus is airborne.
Horrifying. Visited briefly the day they opened back up here, totally unprepared, one sneeze guard and a line that required other workers to stand in unguarded areas helping the single protected person to check people out faster. 4 people in a line of twelve or more, including myself, with minimal social distancing, were wearing a mask, multiple people brought children, lots of people insisting on bringing things up to their faces, still dropping items on the floor. There's no way to sanitize every single thing a customer touches, and Macy's couldn't care less about protecting it's employees. I wouldn't be surprised if one of my coworkers has gotten infected by now, but being laid off I wouldn't know.
Only a company with weak leadership would make such a policy. I went into one of the stores recently. It was a steamy cesspool. Due to lack of AC and the oders from lack of ventilation. I had to wait forty minutes to purchase socks. I wanted to used up the last of my wonderful macy money. What type of customer would subject themselves to that kind of shopping environment. The more intelligent customers will go running out the door. Macys cares for no one , not the customer and certainly not the employee who has to be subjected to those conditions. If a pet were subjected to such conditions the public would be outraged !!!!!!!
I just can't believe it! 😷
