Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Healthcare Sale I hope we get a bonus payment

DXC Technology has agreed to sell the company's healthcare software provider business to Dedalus Group for $525 million. The deal is anticipated to close by March 2021. The company noted that the sale is not subject to any financing conditions or shareholder approvals.

"The sale of our healthcare provider software business to Dedalus is consistent with our strategy of focusing on the Enterprise Technology Stack and rationalizing our portfolio," said Mike Salvino, CEO, DXC Technology.

Dedalus Group is a leading healthcare and diagnostic software provider in Europe.

@5nsq Ha ha Mr Mike I like your style. Your going to pocket millions in bonus and shares but you don't want it for the people producing the goods. What do they mean "our people are our assets" should they not get % of what you will get?

Thanks. After reading a few of the articles in the web, it seems to be a real success to sell that divison for half a billion.

Healthcare software = Isoft.

Go Google Isoft + CSC + NHS if you want to know the story. Bonus points if you find the Hansard entry where British MP's call on the government to never use CSC for a public sector project ever again.

Isoft being the cause of CSC ending up with Lawrie and the rest of you being here....

Is the healthcare software division a former part of CSC?

Win Win situation 1) should get much needed money into DXC - to reduce its debt, 2) Rebirth of healthcare software provider under a different provider and to grow 3) Hopefully it will mean that a portion of the existing DXC team can tupe across to the new company, get a decent wage, conditions and investment by the company in their skills. 4) Moral in transfer group should heal and become more positive.

Hopefully there won't be many job losses though in the transfer and as many as DXC team can keep their jobs under the new group

Agreed in the UK the government has just awarded more than 3% for teachers and they have been getting rises for years, and we have all worked through covid as well.

They should give everyone a 10% bump min (3% cost of living increase for FY18-20 rounded up) in addition to the merit raises for the most recent reviews (6%-1, 4%-2, 2%-3, 0%-4etc) then an additional 3% for cost of living for FY21..... and I’m not even counting the years of people being snubbed at CSC/HPe/EDS etc. This is still stingy, but would be a cinch for management to work out. But No.
