Dell has started hiring in certain business units. It’s a good sign of recovery. Not sure why managers say hiring freeze.

How could Dell be hiring if it suspended the 401k plan for its employees (at least in EMC)?
Definitely hiring. More strict on approvals but hiring is happening.
i doubt it. There is hiring freeze. Sounds like some consulting company sending a guy on visa to show he is at "work" to avoid him get deported.

There may be a lot of companies doing external hiring with a large amount of approval from management and HR. External hiring was never impossible, just very hard to approve. External hiring just had to be the most ideal candidate after they couldn't find someone internally.
Can confirm 2 new external hires in my sales unit (Services) over the past 2 weeks and I have seen requisitions open.
They are hiring. Added new head account in my business unit in Utah. Is that proof enough? Still on boarding.
