I remember a manager throwing a pen at an associate and the next day was fired
Two managers who were taking damaged merchandise home, they were fired.
When we had the shelter in place order for covid, managers who worked through the entire pandemic were told that if cops pulled us over and asked why we were out during shelter in place that we were to tell them that we “work in packing and shipping”. So, we were basically told to lie to cops about working in “packing and shipping” when we work in a department store. Yes, we were shipping online orders, but I work in a department store. Not in “packing and shipping”.

Screaming. Literally. At Associates.
Two Receiving Associates got fired in front of a long line of customers back when we had a dedicated Customer Service area. The two were observed by the store manager helping a woman in a wheelchair take 3 large bags of clothes and 4 pieces of luggage to her car parked just outside. There was loud admonishment and they were told they were fired and to get out.
