Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Any word on Encompass???

It seems like most of these posts talk about Allstate and Esurance. Are Encompass employees safe or also at risk to be let go?

It’s to my understanding that the former rmbc and asic are now just ‘agency services.’ And they were combined to take the agency chats.

Nat Gen has no idea of what is coming their way. Less PTO, no more holidays off, worse medical plans and 401k. All of the processes that Allstate has. GS push for virtual claim handling. We were told about the great EPIC system, it pales in comparison to what we have. Good luck.

Underwriting? We seem to become more like Allstate each day and I can picture it automated no matter what. Why have people when there is never an exception

All employees are part of Allstate. Encompass is currently learning the Nat Gen system. Rumor is they do not need all of the current staffing and a large amount will be moved/ let go. Probably a significant portion of property people.

What type of changes for Encompass. Obviously the plan is to stop writing beginning in September. Will NG just absorb the new product or will they onboard Encompass employees?

Thinking we will see quite a few resignations in a few weeks. In some departments it’s getting pretty lean and they may need to hire

I work for Encompass- so far no talk on layoffs. They are in the process of training all Encompass Employees on their system.

This thread is from 7 months ago. It seemed far fetched at the time. Now that Allstate has finalized the acquisition of National General, and some dust has settled, this thread does not seem far fetched at all.

Post ID pqfz+15xDJuXj you were on to something correct back in July 2020. “All Encompass employees are set to be laid off within 3 to 4 months of the completion of National General.” Maybe not ALL Encompass employees will be laid off. But a large number of them, AND Allstate IA employees, will be laid off.

Listed as National General on the presentation pretty obvious what they think of Encompass and AIA. We just needed premium to increase market share. Pouring one out for my IA coworkers

Encompass employees are definitely included within Allstate – no more safe than any other Allstate employee.
