Does anyone know what is call after call happening at retail stores with managers being so hush about it?

They are closing 250 Cingular stores is probably what all the secret calls now are about. That is not nearly as troubling as the next step, and that is that soon all products will be being sold in non-AT&T stores. That will end almost all of the personnel problems as they will essentially be just a supplier to other stores and will have no more retail employees to speak of. That step is a couple of months away.
Do your managers never have other calls you aren’t a part of? Surely they do, right? But yes, obviously layoffs are coming, no department is immune.
Store closures, probably trying to justify their existence to upper management.
These are happening everywhere. Things are happening.
It means bad news. Very bad.
