So....last post...still sticking to your story?
I actually work for the corporate of Belk and we are not in any finance trouble, we just hired back a bunch of employees from being furlough. Just like every other company out there, we were shut down for about 3 months because of the virus and relying on Ecom sales as well as curbside. Yes it will not be the same as it was 3 months ago but we are right on track where we need to be. Please some trash talk a company if you don’t know the whole store
Belk is in obvious financial trouble but because it’s a private company owned by a sleazy private equity firm, they are hush hush about all finances. The problems are systemic, from the top brass down to the lowly STM’s, once a company that valued its associates and rewarded them for hard work, it’s now become a company who hires Macy’s rejects (managers who have been fired from Macy’s) and a company that promotes age descrimination, favoritism, “re writes” job duties on a whim, does not invest in store technology or improvements/upgrades, cuts employee benefits, takes away sick time, lowers employee pay, and the list goes on and on. Run, Run Forrest run....
