Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

There was a way to avoid this

Many veteran employees have shared with me their willingness to accept a package if one was to be offered. I, too, would be more that happy to receive a package. Of course, as things go, those that want it most will not be impacted by this reduction.

This is what bothers me the most. There are enough people who want to leave that we could avoid layoffs altogether. And yet, here we are. Why not let people volunteer? Give me one good reason why not.

Last time they did this, top talent went out the door and many poor performers got to stay. They want to avoid that situation this time. This has been shared broadly by leaders

Was the push to zoom so that they will tell us that way?
