Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Lay-off Furloughs

Curious if there is a wide range of people who have been laid off here in the AMS region.
Upvote if you have been furloughed or laid off in the last 3 months in AMS.
Share your story if you want to as well.
Please avoid downvoting this... so we can actually get a visual of how many people of been let go recently.

Who ever said "Retiring at say 60 with an extra WFR bonus ain't so bad" is not very smart. Here in the US we get a MAX of 8 weeks WFR pay. 2 months pay, with no health benefits. It would be easier to just not doing anything for 2 months and quit.

furloughed people are not going to comment, because if they indicate anything that might ID themselves, they will fired on the spot!

Doesn't matter if furloughed or not, All DXC employees in the expensive West will be dumped.
The only difference between employees is how near you are to this inevitable event.

However, on the postiive side, theres lots of happy old employees planning on it .
Retiring at say 60 with an extra WFR bonus ain't so bad. But if you;re younger than 50, you'd have to be batsh~t stupid to stay. There is no happy end game for the younger types in DXC

Last I checked, this was a website to talk about layoffs.
You may do with it what you will, but I think the question is a fair question to ask.
Many people who have been made redundant or have quit still come to this site from time to time to respond to question.
Also the question was “... who have been laid of HERE in the AMS region”...
Stop with all the hate. It was just a question.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like to know.
Maybe learn to provide some useful feedback like the others.

Not trying to be rude, but how is this going to give any meaningful insight into how many people have been let go?

  1. it relies on them being interested enough in the company's onward situation to seek out this site, or, already be aware of it.
  2. it relies on them then reading and upvoting your post (rather than just reading the comments and carrying on with their day)

I suspect the group of those let go that fit those criteria will be a very small percentage.

I was told that anyone who got furloughed in the USA was not coming back. That was a senior manager in the USA who let that slip... He told me that just after it happened too, so it was the plan.

"if you have been furloughed or laid off in the last 3 months in AMS."

I believe virtually everyone who was furloughed in North America is now being WFRd.
