Where does the number 150 come from?
I was one of those laid off in June/July, along with the one other most junior member of my team. (I had been with the team for 6 month and he 2 years). We were both in the Woodland Hill office. I am trying to make sense of what happened but cannot find much information anywhere.
Then there is this article from a Saint Louis paper talking about Centene increasing its workforce. https://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/news/2020/07/13/beyond-the-list-which-of-st-louis-largest-emplo.html. This while HR informed me that I was laid off as part of a workforce reduction. Something fishy here. Could this still be related to the Centene buyout?
What location is this.
Are you able to be a little specific as to where it is.
I worked at the aetna in woodland hills california as account administator there for a lot of years.
Same thing going on with that company.
I wouldn't recommend going to apply at that specific location however because the permanent workers will treat you badly. Although my particular department was not as bad, I heard constand complaints in all the other areas.
Just a warning not to apply there. The people are extremely rude and will not offer you help when you are down.
Because they seem to be on a roll.
