Rumors are that there will be Rifs this month, COVID or no COVID. AIG does not care about the employees, only pleasing the shareholders by buying back massive amounts of stock. BD and PZ only care about their mega salaries, jets, and new high priced digs in NY, and how many Rifs will it take to pay for it all.

Layoffs are mainly targeting older workers with higher salaries. I don't see race as an issue.
Layoffs are including women and non-whites.
I was laid off last August 2019 I’m white male 62 years of age so they are targeting this demographic believe it or not
I hate to disappoint but AIG has laid off many Black, Latino and Women employees in the past year. Especially above 55. If you’re near retirement, RIFs are color blind.
I absolutely agree there is age discrimination and they are moving whatever they can overseas and automation - but yes age discrimination is real.

They will lay-off regardless of gender or color. US will likely continue to take hits. They will lay-off regardless of how competent a person is. Look at this company’s history since 2008 when they helped tank the US financial stability. They go through these lay-off cycles at least 2x a year. No one is safe. Ever except the top tier who are guaranteed a golden parachute.
AIG will not lay off Black, Women, young people that make little. so it is the White men young and old that are on the block.
Cannot wait to hear the spin and justification. In IT, they are cutting lads and ladies to pay for Accenture. And leadership will spin and spin. O wonder of they have trouble with looking at themselves in the mirror. I doubt it.
