Another AERO RIF Week of 6/8

I know that 95% of you will think this is impossible but you WILL be hearing about another AERO RIF next week in the US. For those that didn’t volunteer 3 weeks ago or didn’t get accepted you will have another shot at it next week. Once again, it will not be in writing.

Hearing this one is going to be MUCH larger than the previous RIF. They are going to take a big bite.

Hold on tight! Good luck everyone

It would be refreshing to see some big names in this next round of RIFs from leadership. They deserve to take a hit for running Aerospace into the ground over the last 4-5 years. The smoke show is almost over in aero with demand low during COVID19, now Madsen and his rookie VPs will have to answer why the past due Is not reducing, (somehow it was acceptable to blame increasing demand over the last few years).....OTTR continues to tank and inventory keeps rising. Maybe the answer this time will be that demand is decreasing, excuses are running out and the true colors will be exposed. You can only try to transform every function so many times, before you realize that leadership is the true problem.

I think they use a Ouija board to make these decisions. I also was turned down and could have saved a job of someone not wanting to go..... Maybe they get a two fer.... disappoint two employees at one time... Thats a bonus

Heard they were making their lists for each site since management didn’t have a say in the first one.

HW...sad, bad company. They should remove layers of management that are redundant. Nothing will surprise any of us.

I put in for the voluntary last time and didn't get it. I am an executive admin. reporting to a VP. They said my position was needed and they couldn't replace me for a year and did not want to add workload to someone else. I could have saved someone's job that really needed it.
Other admins put in for the voluntary and got it. Why didn't I?
I don't understand how this all works and I am very disappointed. Anybody know why they would not accept my voluntary and accept someone else's that is in the same position as me? Please let me know! Thank you in advance!

Another RIF so close to the previous one would be surprisingly stupid. Even for Honeywell. It would be like shooting yourself in the foot with a shotgun.
It spells either incredible incompetence getting the previous RIF quota wrong or desperation. If the latter, they are in very bad shape.

@TiredDirector - You have gone above and beyond. It's amazing that the week after HR told "leadership" the reasons why people are leaving HON they would go down the RIF rathole again. Amazing, but not surprising. Guess Q2 is worse than they thought (no surprise), and they don't want to use the money they've stashed away for Q3 and Q4 to make the financials look better. Yet "leadership" wonders why so many employees don't trust and hate this company....
