Who do I believe? Opening HLE? Furloughs are ending this week? Layoffs on June 12? Severance packages are being taken away? Paul is great!

To the person talking above about having to go through hiring process again. my GM told me the day we got laid off if they were to hire back, they would give us our tenure back but we would have to re apply and go through background check. you know, if we can recall, this took 2-3 months due to the lack of fat asses in the department in Oklahoma city. Those ladies eat all day long and weight well over 200 lbs each. lol. Swear!
Get out and don’t look back.
Perhaps, the best question is to ask yourself how you want to be valued. Do you want to stay on the ship that leaves uncertainty always in the air and has no issue with tossing things overboard? Or, do you want to find a place that has direction and values all those that work towards a shared vision; with open up front communication.
Just heard that even if we want to come back after being laid off, that we have to repost for job on hertz/dollar/thrifty website and that our mgr has no say in the hiring, like he originally said he would, now has to come from hire ups..hmm
Coming to work is like a comedy. You have to laugh or you will cry. Who do you believe. Believe what you see and hear first hand. This week my location director went on a rant about our ZVP. When you see that level of frustration you know that is the truth.
Don't believe anyone who is a GM and higher. They are so blinded by the propaganda being spewed by the execs they cannot see straight. Right now the execs have promised great opportunity for those VP's and GM's who will help Hertz claw its way back. Paul is telling them stories of grandeur and they are falling for it. The numbers tell the story and they are upside down.
Believe your gut. Everything else is noise.
Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best.
