It is interesting that the majority of Ford employees who can work from home want it to be a permanent situation. I had wondered how LL6 and LL5 would adapt as both are micromanagers who did the hourly cube walk by to see what reports are doing. While in the office it was hilarious as people notified their friends the cube walk was starting and everyone made sure to be seen “working”.
The LL6 adapted by sending eight “random” IMs daily that if we don’t respond immediately to we aren’t working and have to explain. Except for every Wednesday and Friday which are clearly his Ford paid Home Depot and Lake days.
What is super annoying is that when I am deep into problem solving or coding my eyes miss the IM notification so I am getting dinged, while the people doing nothing but waiting for an IM to pop up are getting rewarded. SMH
Why do we have all these bonehead LL6 and LL5? They could all be replaced with software tracking who is actually working. It is not like they are inspiring anyone to work. They are major demotivators
