Furloughed Staff Returns

A few colleagues came back in full time this week. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out given the majority of capital being directed up to CO and I’m overseas assets.

The key to succeeding at Noble is to become the biggest a– kisser that you can become. It really doesn’t matter how much you know or how competent you are in your area... if you learn to s— up and kiss a– you will flourish at Noble.

It’s funny how someone can suddenly become a poor performer once they get into their 50’s.

I was kicked to the curb at 53 last year, and I am not management. Tough and harsh. Age discrimination is alive and well at Noble.

Because that asset is actually profitable. Far more so than here in TX. The TX ops are in for dark days.

Noble spent $6 billion on Rosetta and Clayton Williams. Why is 90% of their budget being spent in Colorado (DJ Basin?

You certainly won’t be working for Noble past 50 years of age... unless you’re in the C suite. They have a long and glorious record of age discrimination. So much so that they were, and are, being investigated by the EEOC. Now with this new revelation about their in-house counsel I’m sure s-x discrimination will be next. Why would anyone work at Noble?

The best thing those furloughed people can do is find another industry. Noble is a sinking ship and this industry is in decline also. If you’re 30 years old do you really want another 30 - 40 years of this sh–?

Sorry for the dose of reality but noble has no real incentive to bring any of the furloughed staff back and likely most will be released by September.

Layoffs and reorganization happened and positions went un filled at $50-$60. $40 isn’t going to cut it.

Some employees were released 30 days in.

It’s a Court tested tactic to loose a large amount of employees without triggering WARN and the required pay and training for not giving the prior notice. Likely bring back a few token people and the cut the rest.

Did Noble take PPP funds? If so, it might explain why they're bringing people back now from furlough. They need to rehire employees by the end of June or they'll have to repay the Federal loans.

A lot of oil companies got money from the PPP. It was supposed to be for small businesses, but then I guess Noble may now qualify. ;->

It’s all about kissing a–. There are some that are back at 100% from 50% that never did anything in the first place, but they are good at massaging their management and the management of other groups to vouch for them. Very very sad. But hey, that’s why Noble was failing in the first place.

I’ve heard various. It’s pretty select. More up in CO than in TX.
