It’s true, I work in Bellevue. They already shut the south/new hump down and are working on shutting down the north/old hump. They just keep hacking jobs little by little until only a few remain.

They only issue letters if they are "closing" a yard. Bellevue isn't closing. Going to flat shifting and losing freight. No need for a warn letter.
You must have went through it with your eyes closed because they issued it at our shop and there’s still a few people for “asset protection”. They’ve issued it at other shops as well with 100 or more. If you go online and even look for Norfolk southern warn notice you’ll see the pdf of the notice for Linwood, Roanoke, and a few of the other locations.
They don't have to issue a Warm letter if they keep a few guys to protect whatever. They wait 2 years or however long and pay the remaining guys. I went through it!

More false news. There's nothing from the company saying Bellview hump is closing. All lies
in time the whole yard will be closed accept for a small number of people to respond to emergencies on the main . The jobs will just keep disappearing and there is nothing you can do. My advice is to cling on to the remaining jobs but don't go above and beyond. Its a fools errand if you do.
Bellevue had the problem of not being far enough off the busy path of the big Elkhart-Conway main. That and being basically in between the two. The $165 million dumped into it will always be known as the “Bellevue blunder”. Sorry for your job losses. Hopefully there are other places to find jobs up in those parts.
