Could the SLB Stonehouse site be turned over for house building?

A massive housing estate is already in the process of being built and nearing completion just behind the buildings.
Who would want to drive through an industrial estate to live in a property at the back of Stonehouse? Living the dream............More to the point who would want to live in Stonehouse unless you were moving from a war zone?
