Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

What we know...

From reviewing recent posts, please correct or update in comments as needed.

TAMPA and ORLANDO opening 6/11 (assuming gov also approves BGT)

Aquatica in San Antonio (but not SW) opening 6/6

San Diego requested to open 7/1 and was denied by the state.

No word yet on Williamsburg or Sesame Place.

HR generalists in Tampa, Orlando, and Texas potentially all replaced by contracted temps. Can anyone confirm for those parks?

Corporate IT contracted out. Does anyone know if park IT was impacted or how much of Corp IT?

Some Marketing positions potentially eliminated. Park or Corp? How extensive?

Parks that are reopening are starting call back process, can everyone from those parks chime if with positions and if the were contacted?

Animal position in Orlando: Calls, texts, emails started going out Friday. Some members of some department have been called back. Some have not. They like to say that rescue isn't affected, but it was. There is no way the animals were receiving the same care with 90% of its staff furloughed. The animals and the exhibits were already running a skeleton crew. Reducing staff further also reduces animal care quality OR the number of animals has to decrease.

Bgt hasnt announced and could change (at this point I think the following week is more likely personally), but they requested and were approved for 6/11 by Hillsborough county and city of tampa.

BGT has not announcement an opening date yet. I’m assuming they are making sure they have the staff to open before doing so or are waiting to see how SWO opening goes to see if they need to adjust some of their plans.
BGT Entertainment has started to call staff back.

Local IT here - We have not had any info. There was a text chain with our boss on Wednesday where we were told our leader would try to find out what was going on, but nothing since then. At least I personally have not been told anything else but when we were initially told of the furlough it was indicated that there was a possibility not everyone would come back or at the same time. Maybe I was the unlucky person to not get a job back?

I cannot speak to anything in corporate IT in its current state but I also would not be surprised if park and corporate gets merged somehow.
