A RCL in Casualty cheated on his wife with a direct and committed insurance fraud and still has a job. Why didn't HR fire him? Frontline employees can get fired without cause but leaders get a free pass. Everyone in the office knows about it.

An agent forging a clients signature and my boss’ boss at the time said it wasn’t a big deal.
Refreshing this thread so you can read about some of the corrupt things they've done. Then think about it, do you really think they are handling layoffs fairly? Or will they target age groups, protect certain people, etc. And hiring for the "new" position for less money? I'm sure that will be handled objectively too I also have a bridge to sell you,..
Allstate is more corrupt/broken then most retail stores and fast food joints ahaha.... im not trying to make a joke.. but this is sadly a fact. you can actually make more money working at those places too. I worked in a department store as a sup. after Allstate for bit and was making 60K... which is more (at least than what i was makIng) in soul-crushing claims for 3 years. I will never return to claims.
There are so many good employees that Allstate has screwed over! They don't know the difference between a worker and a person just collecting a check. If you are lucky enough to be friends or related to someone in management your golden!
The president of my division who was married was carrying on with another member of her SLT like they were in high school. No one speaks up out of fear.
We had an employee that would sleep at his desk, no one did anything!
We have an employee that runs sport gambling pools, everyone knows it and doesn't stop it.
We have an employee that holds prayer sessions at his desk!
Management tells finance how to cook the books!
HR is a joke!
Manager tells direct reports what to put in their end of year evaluation!
“If you are competent and are respected by your peers, watch out, management will try to fire you. If you answer the surveys honestly, you will be targeted. I had a coworker who was smarter than everyone there and the Sr Mgr didn't want to be asked tough questions so they drummed up false accusations and fired her. Right to work state and they got away with it. We know HR helped! The people left now are yes men that have no integrity. I left soon after she was fired”
This isn’t an Allstate specific instance of corruption. Corrupt toxic leadership exhibits this behavior in many circles. Sabotage the strong people they feel threatened by andkeep the weak fearful “yes men” around. A mark of strong leaders is being happy to have other strong people around. Only the weak and insecure fear strong people with integrity.haven’t noticed this to be pervasive at Allstate but have seen a handful of instances and heard stories from other employees. Unfortunately toxicity is impossible to squash out 100% many of those snakes in suits are just to good a lot hiding their true colors.
Employees are “encouraged” to either contact Speak Up or your Manager regarding unethical or illegal behavior. If you go directly to Speak Up THEN your complaint is assigned to a CERT investigator that “partners” with your HR. If you go to your Manager forget it they will spin, lie, deny if you are speaking about a protected” employee if they have an axe to grind with with the reported employee they adhere to policy etc. very SELECTIVE.
- CERT isn’t going to be objective they are employees of Allstate 2. Your HR Manager is going to do EVERYTHING in their power to contain/squash the complaint because they should have been available/aware/accessible that this never made it past them. 3. How is your HR going to be objective if the complaint directly or indirectly includes them? 4. NO MATTER how much evidence you give to CERT/HR (emails, detailed timeline, video and/or audio) of the person not only behaving unethically but ILLEGALLY. NOTHING WILL be done to the “protected”
managers/employees. 5. You will NOT be given a clear “investigation” outcome by ANYONE. In the rare case you are, you are told “we found no evidence of X,Y,Z” 6. Look for a new place to work because blatant retaliation WILL begin because they know they are PROTECTED.
My old MCM in Livermore said publicly he "can just look at you and tell if you are going to be a manager." .. then went on to say some people just wont be leaders in his office. I think i was the only one bothered by this... my whole office seemed complacent. such a weird toxic ... odd.. environment

Where to begin? Sales leaders pad their expense accounts in $$$, Meeting Awards and Promotion leaders pocket gift cards, accept freebies from vendors – like a full week of lodging for her family,, kickbacks from vendors. It's an entire "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" atmosphere.

Express MCM makes s-xual comments about employees daily “you have all those girls, come to my office and I’ll show you how to make a boy”. Came to our office and used the term “dont Jew me down” in his first meeting with employees. Handled his own HR complaints as express didn’t have an HR liaison. And on and on and on...
Laying people off in the middle of a pandemic and recession
I’ve seen HRM’s purposely trying to sabotage sales organization.
I’ve witnessed most of what 5qow+15cOQ7rk said in their comment. Corrupt, incompetent, petty leadership seems to be a major issue but that’s probably par for the course in a lot of workplaces. There are genuine concerns regarding retaliation.
I haven’t seen any instances of adjusters stealing company money or receiving other perks from body shops or vendors but have heard stories from others who have.
I’ve worked in multiple offices and have seen a lot of unethical things such as other leaders plotting ways to term employees they don’t like, retaliation from I-reports, racism from senior leaders, people being held from promotions just because a leader got annoyed once by the employee, the list goes on.
As far as corruption for financial gain, I’ve seen field adjusters get kickbacks from shops.
The unfortunate part of this is retaliation is a real problem at Allstate. I’ve seen leaders try to figure out who gave them a bad survey score/comment and then hate on that person. I filed an I-report that was supposed to be confidential only for HR to tell the leader it was me. I stopped speaking out once I realized it may hinder my career. Surveys are confidential and not anonymous which is why no one in my office answers them honestly and we all talk about it.
Manager has affair on wife with direct employee. Keeps his job and is slime to other females
