Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

InVoluntary Furlough?

I know this was supposed to be until the end of the second quarter does anyone else see it going into quarter three? That is if I still have a job?

SL B will continue the layoffs and furloughs past the third quarter. Economy will not rebound until 2022 at the earliest.

Yeah that’s my concern I’m in sales not selling anything. I don’t think they’re going to pay for me to sit home much longer.

It is possible, but with the layoffs that happened, I dont think they will do it again in Q3.
If Q3 ends up falling short then they may do it again in Q4.
SLB also follows what other large companies do. If they keep doing furloughs then SLB most likely will copy.

With 14k laid off and many base closures I doubt any segment with a 5%+ margin will continue. Frac? Good luck, never made money with 500 frac spreads in the US.
