Thread regarding Aetna layoffs

Someone in your position should be safe for now from any layoffs going on. If that is what you are asking here.

I would think that a person in your position would be somewhat safe because you are highly valued with your technical skills. Is this what you are asking.
I would question why you would want to be in health insurance if you are seeking to obtain a higher wage. There are layoffs going on. Everyone knows that the highest pay are in places like google, facebook, etc.
The work here probably will pay higher than your average worker in a lower position.
As long as it is not in the woodland hills aetna facility then you should be fine.
I was a female account administrator there and the way they treated each other was horrendous.
The workers would put up a pleasant appearance to the bosses and friends.
However, if you were not in that group, they harrased and abused you. I heard the complaints from the people in other departments who I talked with.
The way they treated the men was worse because they knew they could get away with it.
The workers that have been there for a lot of years or decades think they can get away with this. However sooner or later the higher ups should realize this is inefficient. Especially when they could just get rid of them and hire someone for minimum wage during this ecomomic downturn we are all going through. I'm not sure why they are holding on to them when they do as little work as possible. I was lucky to not be in a department that was that bad but the horror stories in the other departments were just so unbelievable. The lower positions could easily be replaced, so they should just get fired those that do not do a lot of work or as little as possible. Also the dress code is looking sloppy at this place. I don't think we women should look excellent for everyone each day but to appear to look like you are sitting around at home in raggedy clothing really didn't want me to perform my best here.
