I'm not asking whether you think what DXC is providing is fair, I'm asking what you personally would consider a fair severance package. How many weeks and how many years max? What about medical?

What about furlough good companies pay benefits while on furlough and CEO/NEO's accept pay cuts while people are furloughed. But we all know DXC isn't a good company to work for.
I worked for Federal Bank and after 5 years, I got 4 months severance, vacation pay and had a manager that took 2 or 3 hour lunches with me till my last day.

One month per year of service, no cap.
Meanwhile if you live in Australia than expect 3 weeks per for every year of service, capped at around 40 to 45 weeks of pay + other benefits paid out + unused annual leave paid out. Up to 75% of the payout will be tax free. BTW - Sal will be happy too as he receives a bonus for every WFR that proceeds.
If the severance terms include non-disparagement, or an enforceable non-compete, then it should be full pay for the entire length of those exclusionary periods. Including medical.
