In the second half of 2019, Esurance had people come to our offices who had other supervisor/manager jobs at Esurance that were temporarily part of this program(Esurance claims folks know what I’m talking about).
Was this never really about changing Esurance processes and all about gearing up for the merger/layoffs?
I remember that. Allstate folks came to Esurance at the same time that Esurance managers went to Allstate. The Allstate people were a chipper group taking notes on all of our processes. We were told that Allstate is trying to understand our processes to make their processes better. Riiiiiight. I'm sure it was about what they could cut once Allstate took over our brand.
The below poster is spot on. CI is a daily waste of time with nothing to show for it. Suppose to be 15 daily but ours last for 30 minutes minimum. Another thing Shapiro the Hatchetman brought from Liberty Mutual.
Aside from the daily huddles most of the actions and processes behind CI are a big waste of time and piss poor use of money. Allstate has moved all their useless "leaders" into CI "coaching and management" roles to save their skins and they are pretty much useless there too. Now there is an idea of who is dead weight to cut if they are going to get serious about redundancy and efficiency.
As soon as Allstate brought in CI, I knew what was happening. I told people to mark this day. And here we are 3/4 years later, we are right where I knew we would be.
Allstate claims went through this years ago. CI or continuous improvement was rolled out for all of us. It has its benefits and redundancies. I will say that if they rolled this out with Esurance, it has nothing to do with the current situation but rather to help you all live into the Allstate culture.
How about that allstate “transparency” they claim they have. Tons of shady sneaking around for months and months.
