Cant believe shop stewards & union members work weekend to get month end figures up when we have just had 4 days holiday taken away...union are a waste of time.

Management don't want K J to stop being union rep why would they , they get everything thing they want the other reps must also be getting there brown envelopes
Yes the UNION is the shop floor. The UNION reps suppose to advice the shop floor what we can and can’t do. But UNION reps go in and accept whatever is thrown at them without letting the shop floor know. So I reckon we are been sold out. K J needs to give up
No because who would leave a company like NOV when you cab get away with murder doing weekend overtime for years despite having no work and part of the business (Chemineer) failing to bring in any business. Unless people are forced out they will wait in the hope of getting made redundant. Great way of creating a strong work ethic and commitment in the business!
Gents The Union is the shop floor! But the Mondays off, well that has come from America. someone (S Worth) has decided to give us a bit of pain. Probably in the hope of getting us all running about, calling each other to S*%T. and maybe one or two of us too leave.

If NOV were to have to decide to close some plants and the decision was based on workforce ethics and intelligence then Greengate would surely be at the top of the list. It’s appalling the level of back stabbing that’s going on here. If NOV were to sell the business then any potential new owner would need to have a serious cull of the deadwood at this place to get the right attitude back into the business, sad days and all because of the actions of the current owner over the last 5 - 6 years, they have driven the goodwill out of this business and it will be hard to turn that around, particularly as the manufacturing workforce don’t give a damn.

As usual the union do agree to everything Bilko throws at them. That’s what happened last time. If we agreed to 7% reduction in shift allowance, it will save jobs and guess what they made few people redundant. The guy talks c-ap and the union always agree. Whatever happened to bringing outside officials in
No working Mondays but Saturday and Sunday overtime will still be on as usual 👍
