Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

So far it looks like 3% for US employees on a merit increase

If you know where to look, it is visible in workday. Although it has not been officially announced. You can also see how bad they have been screwing you per job title, if you care to look. Quietly exposed for all to see. Go look and dig deep into any links provided and you will find what you are looking for.

Should call it doesn't workday.

One of the must clunkiest systems ive seen where you can find nothing.

A cheap database does the job 10 times better.

Stick that on the cost reduction and process improvement work streams.

When you see an increase in your pay check then go to workday and see if it was a raise or something else. Are you all dense and can't figure that out. Level 1 -4 what about level 5 -6 technical people ?

To view your percentage increase. Go to Workday, profile, job, worker history. If you received anything the most recent entry will say "Compensation Change" and will have the amount in the details.

I received this raise this morning. 3% merit.

I guess they need to take "transparency" off their sales pitch during college recruitment practices. Seems like they have all the "yes men/women" towing the line these days and they are all backing up the lies. As a matter of fact...they should drop "Ethical" from any reference used.

Is anyone still able to see the merit entry in workday? I see the it got deleted/removed.

Let the Equal Pay lawsuits begin!! Keep in mind, you only have 2 years from the time it was brought to your attention to take them to court. And....you are not required to first file a grievance. Reach out to your peers and collect the evidence.

How will they pay for this 3% merit increase for us remaining folks in times of falling revenue? Simply suspend the 401K match for everyone! They've already suspended the dividend for investors. Think we won't get hit too? They'll actually come out ahead... 12months pay match X 3% vs 5months pay increase of 3%.
That's 7 months * 3% of annual North American salary savings. Who says MF isn't worth 4 mill a year to the company's bottom line?
I wouldn't expect an announcement until just before it's due to be paid..

Makes it kinda obvious that senior leadership in DXC are clearly monitoring this board then and are doing a Trump and rather than addressing the problem, they're trying to censor the workforce

Can confirm the report is no longer visible. I could see it this morning, now it’s gone.

Why are you shocked that they removed access to this report? You could see that coming a mile away.

I would need to see a 30% rise to get somewhere near where I should be after 10+ years of no rise. A proper adjustment around 20% would be a acceptable compromise.

I'm no longer seeing the current worker detail report. Only management highearchy is available to view. Is anyone else still seeing theirs?

I would need a 13% pay rise to reach the Segment 1 amount. I'm not counting on it actually happening.

Its very possible the segments represent cost of living premiums for more expensive metropolitan areas.

Hopefully someone in the know can explain what these segments are and how it's decided which segment you are in. A quick check across our whole team and we're all in different segments. Some are also outside of the segments (some below and some above). I would imagine that the lower down you are in the segments, the more chance you have of being eligible for a rise

Instructions stated above by @2fmy+15XQ9NVr
"In Workday, go to your profile -> Compensation. Then in the middle of the page where it has the "Company", hover just to the right of the name for the ... then click the dots and select reports -> Current worker detail report"

It looks like I'm in Segment 3, but I don't know how you "traverse" segments as such.

Silly question, but why would workday say "merit increase" at all if the figure is zero? What's the point of recording that? Makes no sense, even in dxc where not much makes sense...

I got rated 2 in FY20 in UK, I am Grade 4, I have checked in Workday and I see merit pay as a big O under Compensation change, Am I expecting anything more?

3% pay rise hardly makes up for no pay rise over the last 5+ years. Meanwhile old Mikey and Sal having been raking in big financial gains at the expense of hardworking employees of DXC.

I see the ranges. Does anyone know what Segment 1 Top means? As well as 2,3,4?

Grade and paybands are just another way to kick you in the b@lls.

Especially given since the Lawrie years attrition you have everyone doing whatever job with no changes of grade - there is no "promotion board". Most of us are filling in the gaps all around us and a lot are doing jobs forced on us with no pay raise or promotion. Acting without pay or rank. Lovely.

So being told that you are "at the limit" for your grade is just another reason to cheap out.

Shut up or FOAD I guess.

I followed the instructions and all it showed was my name under the Current Worker Detail Report. There was no salary range listed. But the real point is, why is all of this information so difficult to find, and why is management so secretive? I came from EDS and once in the late 1980s, my manager actually told me what the range was, then told me that he wasn't supposed to disclose it. Who knows if the range he gave me was even accurate? When I asked during my appraisals with subsequent managers, the response was always that it was "within range". My people manager told me during one appraisal what the range was, and I hadn't even asked. After 30 years in IT, I wasn't even making the median salary, and had gotten good reviews! My onsite manager was also present for the review since the people manager had no clue what I did. I got a small bonus, and my onsite manager had the gall to say that a bonus was BETTER than a pay raise! I couldn't believe such an insulting statement! I just gave this so-called manager a dirty look.

Yeah thanks for sharing those steps to check compensation. I can now see that I am about 10k below the Segment 1 top and there are four further segments after that. Of course there is a list of zeros beside the last and second to last bonus payment columns despite regularly meeting or exceeding goals in Focal Point Reviews. This really is a sh1t company for rewarding and taking care of its employees and the longer this year goes on the less convinced I am that this CEO is going to change anything for me or others in terms of reward and remuneration. But we have a stack and its the color purple so all is well in Senior mgmt land

Pay raises for non-Indian employees are supposed to take place in August. This has been mentioned in several Town Halls, but I've only watched a couple from Mike Salvino, and one from Ed Ho.

I can confirm (UK employee) that the details are there if you go to Job and "Worker History", but don't all go expecting to see something, not all 1-4s seem to be getting anything.

It’s quite hidden,

Workday, your own profile, go to personal info, about me, job, worker history

Sort by completed on. I have an entry in there for a merit pay rise.

Oh yeah.... I found this info months ago. You can also see who on your team has received some sort of increase based on their “start of new position” date...
I would advise you not to look. Just one more thing to piss you off. Especially when you can see how much you should be making (basically want a new employee would be offered for your position).
