HW3 “How and Where We Work” is more offshoring of jobs to low cost countries like India, outsourcing things like IT (more than they already have), thinly disguised as a strategic initiative.

It is federal law that 40 year old and over get 21 days to review. Exxon would give them 7 days too, if they could get away with it, of course.

normally headcount reduction comes in several waves. they will not stop and rehire till the base work cannot be delievered

If you think this is going to be a problem this year, headcount reduction targets are continuing until at least '22. Expect more next year.

Why are those under 40 given only 7 days? Is this info from reliable source?

This was already posted below. All decisions are to be made by Joy 31st so all affected layed off employees are gone by 31 Oct.

Those that are over 40 get 21 days to decide. Those under get 7 days to decided. All decisions are made by 31 July. So 10 July & 24 July respectively. So this under 40 are still not safe until July 25th.
