We are not going to get raises. THEY DON’T CARE! Why are people still wasting their time attending these town hall meetings?
Yeah what happened to JL? All of a sudden disappeared in May, followed by yet another pulse survey.
My takeaway from the latest ALL HANDS dribble fest was
- They are beholden to the shareholders (I guess those are the only people that they really care about).
- I thought it odd with the quick and quiet departure of JL and with the new HR person having to ask for a moment to get advice on the proper wording to convey about pay raises.....she will do EXACTLY what she is told to do/say. JL made promises that the company did not want to live up to, so they shut him up and shipped him out.
So finally heard more useful information management admitting what everyone has been telling them for a long time that they arent selling new business, but they are good at cutting costs so will keep cutting.
Doesn't take expensive mcstinksey or a bunch of ex Accenture vps to tell you that.
There was no mention of how they are going to change this, no aggressive sales are going to be used so still same old the sales people not doing the job. This area need concerted effort and focus, all management effort should be focussed on sales. Might be actually worth replacing the existing sales monkeys with Del boy type sales people who can sell products.
So in short you can keep tinkering internally eg cut staff and add management layers and talk a good talk but until you get good sales people who can actually sell offerings and contracts this company is sinking fast.

If you listen to all the Town hall playbacks you'll work out it's the same speil over and over again.
Doing well, customer positive, and more management layers added. I'm sure will be at layer 14 of the cake shortly.
Anything the staff need is not discussed or is dismissed so unless your an ex Accenture and get appointed to a VP position it's all repeat episodes and de ja vue.
@1xem+15WdVd8e I would get another job, but I don't want to travel or be a consultant and I am over 60. Companies don't want to hire people over 60, but I am technical and I know my stuff. Lots of people come to me for advice, I get assign escalations because I take ownership and gets to the root cause quickly. So again this is the 1st company in my 40+ years on the job that didn't give pay rasies when you had a good review.
Im sure the first thing on the Town Hall agenda will be that they want to announce something important that all the employees have been waiting for. Eg the complex formula's that had to be run in the cloud computing with Megawatts of process has finally worked out the pay rises.
Been a long hard slog but finally worked out and emails are being sent as the first action of the town hall.
If only these things were not a dream.
Reality will be:
They will go through the usual bull everyone is doing well, Customers praising us, they are setting up more useless paperwork and procedures, and introducing the new layers of management who are not needed and will server no purpose or add any value but they will act as email forwarders and process creators. There will be limited time for the usual fixed questions.
It's all a big scam. The new CEO gets paid $19M while the company gets run into the ground? I thought that huge renumeration for execs was because of the value that they provide? And he beings in a new HR director on $ millions to oversee the destruction of thousands of careers. In what way is she providing value to the company, other than cutting operational costs? It's like smashing all the windows in your house to save on window cleaning costs.
