What is there only to fill Blackstone’s and Thomson’s pockets - as much as possible in a minimal amount of time? It does not matter if this lays off thousands, makes people miserable, installs management by terror, downgrades service, betrays out customers loyalty, and in a very near end destroys this once excellent business... here comes the very short reign of the médiocres and sycophants...

Sadly, the unions will not have the bight nor appetite for this as they are promised concessions of one sort or another.
Its sad because job ads have been out there with people being hired on the promise of great things to come but the fact that the restructures have been a very regular and consistent theme must show the shareholders that there is a deeper problem with those in charge and that they are likely not to have the interest of the shareholders at heart but rather their own. Payouts are of a massive scale, careers and promises broken. At some point you'd have to think it comes under regulatory, corporate governance and work practices scrutiny.
This time unions must make a stand! This is all about greed, greed and greed. Customers and employees count for nothing...
Even LSE should take a deeper look about this deal: what business are they actually buying? BS destroyed everything
We saw what happened with TechM.
You go there, they give you the same years of service that you have at Refinitiv/Tr ...
Then 1 year later or so you might need to leave from tcs ....
A few got a severance Package with TCS/TechM.
Those are questions that are worth asking ....
Fear the union has had its claws pulled, can’t see any proper action re strike or enhanced severance packages. Just a puppet of HR these days...
Fundamentally laying people off at a company that is not is financial difficulties in the current climate is unethical and putting it bluntly evil. CEO/CFO head of HR hang your heads in shame, this is all about turning Blackstone billions into more billions... the world needs to change to a more sustainable model or we are all doomed to serve greed of the few...Hoping the UK union make a stand...
In re to severance package, does anyone know if theyre still including the years of service with TR or it only start 2018?
I have been told you can either take the offer- if given - or you will effectively quit. This means no severance or - I believe - unemployment. It is 500 laid off, 500 outsourced. Count yourself lucky if you are being laid off.
“Refinitiv in a nutshell”?
Best place for it, in my opinion.
This used to be such a great company... what a waste
$13bn extra debt to fund a LBO, for $6bn revenue - the rest is purely logical
So if you are outsourced you have 2 choices accept the outsource on your current refinitiv t’s and c’s (under Uk law, not sure about others) the other choice is you resign and get no severance...
Anyone know if the enforced push of staff to the POW camp called TCS will mean no offer of redundancy and if the redundancy policy will essentially be eradicated once they're working for TCS?
If so not much worth hanging around for, I hope the rest of the 500 in Tech walk out, I know I will
