have you heard anything about voluntary separations? It would be a great thing as I know so many people who would take the money and leave the next day. Why would they lay off employees who would stay then?

there are tons of jobs
Who in their right mind is going to quit in a worldwide Pandemic when there are no jobs? You are pathetic and obviously don't have a clue. Telling people to leave when they cannot, you are just another mo–n at Dell.
I think the comment about if you are unhappy leave, is spot on. I haven't seen many people leave in the organization I am apart of..sounds like you think other people should make you happy. That's kinda sad.
Hope you find some peace bro.
Obviously, the last response is probably from a c-appy manager, or, from a major s— up to the manager. At Dell most folks feel the same way, they are not valued, need to be two feet in one shoe, cannot say something for fear of retaliation, etc. So yeah, that is why they have so many folks leave. Toxic environment, toxic management.
No one should stay at job they 1) don't enjoy and 2) they don't feel valued for doing. If neither of those apply go find another job and then resign your position. Your colleagues will appreciate working with someone who wants to be part the team and your manager will enjoy the opportunity to replace you with someone who wants be here. It's your choice to be happy, no one owes you anything.
Why would they give you package vs fire you are you kidding me? Age Discrimination Lawsuits. Ask IBM they got challenged in court and swiftly settled LOL.

voluntary separations happening in EMEA? Can you elaborate?
they don't usually fire people, they lay them off or make it so miserable that they quit. It's usually because with voluntary or VBO's the company loses good people that they wouldn't have ordinarily lost during a layoff since the company decides that. One could volunteer I suppose.
Already been happening in EMEA for a while...
Why would they pay when they can fire you and not pay. Pretty simple.
