No, the numbers you see posted that say 3400 or 4700 depending on what article you read and strictly union positions. Many cuts in Business were made this past Friday the 10th. Not sure of the exact number but maybe 1-2k. I myself was saved but moving to a completely new role on August 1st and don’t even know who I report to yet. Not looking forward to the new position at all but at least I still have a job.

So the quick short answer to the OP is “no”.

The 3400 was just bargained for employee numbers. Friday’s layoffs were all management.

Yup. But the final tally is slated to be 40,000 plus. Lots of happy people and families in India, Philippines, Bratislava, Malaysia, etc. Here come the AT&T jobs!

The info from a few weeks ago was sent to the media from the Union(s).
As such the information covered was focused on bargained for numbers.
