Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Trolling and Misinformation

I will never understand the trolling, misinformation, and racism on this discussion board. This is a place to come for legitimate information that impacts real lives. I don’t know what sick joy people get from that behavior, but it’s disgusting and sad.

Those of us who frequent this site in search of legitimate information need to move somewhere that can be moderated. Anonymity is an issue, but possibly Reddit or even Discord could work. Today is just further proof that nothing posted here can be given benefit of the doubt.

For those of you truly impacted today - words can not describe the amount of sadness that a vast majority of employees feel. The few people that post on this site illegitimately do not represent us.

Employees world wide “communications” company have to resort to some obscure internet board to get information regarding layoffs. Let that sink in! Ironic I know and I’m certain totally lost on our leadership.

Totally agree with you but it’s because it does not have a log in system, users are anonymous and there are Idota with nothing better to do but bash and post rude misleading info.

This is an anonymous rumor mill about layoffs, I'm afraid that it's also a haven for trolls, I think we all have to learn to live with it. Also, being the AT&T layoff site, I think the way the company has treated it employees, has given rise to all this trolling, it's as is they created it.

I do understand this is the internet, but there are plenty of places to openly troll and spread toxicity. Give 4chan a shot. It’s a shame that it is done here where people look for real information and answers that have massive impact on their families.

Trolling is a form of magical thinking. "If I pretend I don't really care, nothing bad can happen to me."

We are all coping best we can, some of us more disfunctionaly than others.
