Furlough of U.S. Employees Underway

I received notice of a furlough from my manager. Length of furlough unknown. 9 years of service. Another manager said U.S. employees are targeted, and it seems to be specifically across the U.S. for salaried employees making a high income. My guess is the target are employees making $100k or more.

I got furloughed by DXC over a week ago, was told it was due to lack of tickets. Though the site I'm working at had half their staff working from home. I think its complete BS, they told me its a month or more. I was going in everyday, working through this crazy time, never missed anytime. Got my temperature taken every day, and we all took this risk to go to work for them. Just total BS, their way of repaying you is to furlough you.

15S9DUpL - sorry to hear that and typical of CSC / DXC putting pressure on people not to take any legal action that they could be entitled and now "paranoia" sweeping the company of not telling the truth how bad DXC has become - even in CSC days under Lawrie leadership the company was bad.

Typical story - frequent WFR, removal of hard working and loyal technical staff, offshoring to cheaper cost centres, without any plan on fixing the major issues of the company - management or lack of management direction.

I was furloughed in early May without pay... end date to be early July... WFRed in late June. I am an older, higher paid employee (>100k) in the US, with almost 15 years with the company. I am offered 6 weeks pay for severance if I sign a letter saying I won’t sue DXC for anything, ever, or say anything bad about the company.

Is anyone looking into a class action age discrimination suit or otherwise right now?

I was told last week that there is no place for me at DXC anymore after 25+ years. My resume was thrown in a stack of unassigned employees and was basically told don't hold your breath on being picked up, you might as well look outside the company. I am also a US worker and make less than 100k. Have been through GM/EDS/HP/HPE and now DXC. This is the worst version of the company that I have ever been in. They keep saying "customer focused", but it is really dollar driven at the expense of employees. My work has been rated "Meets" and "Exceed" based on the projects, but I haven't seen a raise in over 3 years, and now I am told - GOODBYE

Almost all are being WFR'd before their furlough date. Example some furlough were due back the 2nd week of July and were WFR'd late June.

Are people in the US that are coming off of furlough (and then WFR'd) not getting severance?

They are going down the redundancy route in the UK I was made redundant after 16 years at least I will get a pay off. I really feel for you folks in the US that they can let you go without any severance! Just awful! Glad to be out of there what an awful company DXC has become......it's only after you get out do you realise this! There is life after DXC and yes I did complete the survey! ;-)

Just got word that 3 folks on our account received a permanent furlough notice on Friday.
All experienced staff - account management was not informed.
And no severance !
That is just wrong on so many levels since the most you could get in the US was 8 weeks.
Just confirms this new Mike and his cohorts are no different than the old Mike

I was furloughed and making less than 100k. I have 2 colleagues doing the same work for different clients that I assume make more than me since they’ve been with the company far longer. The client was blamed in my situation, but I’m pretty sure that’s BS. In the end, the lead for the client told me even though he’s not my official manager. At the end of my last day, I received an email saying that I’d been moved under a different mgr. DXC is f****d up!

I was furloughed in May and let go end of June. Two weeks into my furlough, a colleague told me that our Director announced in her monthly meeting that 2 employees were hired in India to perform my job! I did not make $100K, but had been with CSC/DXC a long time 30+ years.

Does anybody have any idea if they are going to Rehire or let them resume the work again after the furlough. H1b can't even go on a furlough technically

See SEC https://csc.gcs-web.com/node/17636/html#rom920815_61 page 59 the EX-CEO fo FY2020 still got an Incentive Award of over 12 million dollars .

That's 122 people making 100K a year that could have been saved from furlough or RIff. Why would CEO that was replaced for the companies poor performance get an aware that is 975% over his base income?

F the new Mike and all his bull c-ap he's for the employee's

Have you seen the amount of Money the board and executives get from the SEC filing?

Maybe stop giving useless executives millions and use that money to keep people servicing our customers.
