My breakup letter

Dear Allstate,
When we first met I was excited to start our adventure together knowing we would make a great team. When we first got together I was young, wild and free. I was wide eyed, bushy tailed and ready for all the things you offered me. I believed in your promises that I was in good hands and always followed your every direction even if it caused me some discomfort, mental pain and stress. You promised more money but when it came time to fulfill your promise there was always an excuse as to why I wasn’t able to get it even though I was doing everything you wanted. You just had to find something wrong with everything I did and made sure I would never forget it because you would remind me at every chance you got. I was willing to go the extra mile for you and in my faithfulness I turned others down because I believed in your vision for us. Now you are leaving me for a younger and better version of myself and you are putting me to to the test like I was nothing to you. You are deserting me in my time of need and the one thing I’ve asked in this time is for you to be transparent. You can’t even do that. So this is my goodbye. It is time for me to finally move on because you have already moved on without me. I can’t deny that although I am physically here, my mind is elsewhere and our adventure has officially ended. I do however have a bit of an embarrassing part of me that hopes that the younger version of myself treats you the way you have treated me. That they wear you out, lie to you, make false promises and takes you for all you’ve got. May they never ever ever turn anyone else down for you because that is my biggest regret. Again, that is just the bitter part of me. Goodbye Allstate it sure was a time to forget.

I retired almost 2 years ago. I thought I would give at least 3 months notice after 30++ years. I ended up giving 2 weeks notice and I have no regrets. They already had plenty of young ones to back fill my position. Always do what's best for you and your family, not what you think is best for a big corporation. They don't care about you!

That is a great goodbye letter. Summed up my feelings exactly. So glad I left that company after working there so many years. My life is so much better and my self-esteem is healthier because you could never do enough for that company

You'll be better off, it's for the best. They don't call it AllSnake for nothing. There will also be better restrooms at the new place.

You sound like anyone, from any department or region. It's part of the company culture from accounting to claims to sales to agents. I hope you find some young hot company to treat you right!
