Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

VSPP. If you take it, cover yourself!

If you decide to do well on voluntary separation make sure you have copies or screenshots of everything they send you. Make sure you have your pension estimate, lump sum estimate, PTO hours, EVERYTHING. If you are divorced,.mKe sure to screen shot your personal info page before you leave.

They try to screw you every step of the way. From shorting you on your final pay, to your PTO payout. They make you jump through hoops for everything from lump sum payout to pension.

I have been divorced for 10 years. My records were up to date I verified. Then, I get a call telling me, we can't send your pension till you prove you are divorced. I said, it's in my personnel records I can show you a screenshot. Nope, not good enough. Go to the courthouse and get a copy of your divorce decree and your QDRO.

Every person you talk to gives a different answer. Leaving is a bigger nightmare than working there. Copies copies copies my friend.

Get copies of everything before you leave. Get everything you are told in writing as far as severance amounts, unemployment etc. You will need them. Nothing they tell you turns out to be true.

End of may vspp, have my lump sum rolled into ira, and Wells Fargo sent checks to roll over 401k already, really fast. Pension took longest, about 6 weeks.

And the pension isn't easy to get either. A month later and I still don't have the paperwork from wells fargo or the pension money. Neither should take this long. The company doesn't help you a bit. Pathetic.

Getting your 401k isn’t East either. Wells Fargo policies requires I get their paperwork signed and notarized at a bank ... because their phone validation doesn’t work ... and guess what, sending you the paperwork also takes weeks ... Wells Fargo is corrupt.

Get a copy of your Personnel file, you are allowed it, they have to produce it upon request, that should have all the records in it as well.

This way you have a history of yourself and all that's happened while employed there.

The records should contain all the entries I would think of changes in status, evaluations, medical situations etc.
