Just looked and their site says: "We've found 27 Mattel Jobs near you!" So they're replacing the layed-off with cheaper employees. Or they're just id–ts.

WANTED: CEO with experience in the toy business. Must understand what Mattel’s primary business is and have more than one company line to use during interviews. Also seeking PRESIDENT who can make decisions and stick to them, isn’t a star-f*cker, and has no aspiration to be a motivational speaker. Astronomical salaries and bonuses offered for both roles, regardless of performance or company success. Apply within.
It’s such a hack environment at this point. Stay. Go. Who cares. Shallow existence.
They do lay-offs at all levels. Executive management all the way down to admins. I've been here for years and there's no pattern for who they are laying off. Could be anyone at any level. Then they go and fill all those same positions with new people or create new but similar positions for new folks. Sometimes then even ask the laid off ones to come back. This place is a revolving door.
So did the managers who replaced entry level get their pay bumped back to entry level? Or did they get fat bonuses b/c it's the Mattel Way to reward losers,

In my department, they laid off entry and jr level positions and replaced them with managers or associate managers so Mattel is just shady as f*ck. I’m getting out of here as soon as I possible can.
