Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Electric Boat

Two years ago, management crowed about how EB would not renew the contract until DXC did a market salary review and brought salaries up to market level. Ostensibly, EB was concerned about the number of knowledgeable people continually leaving.

Last week, management was crowing about the new five-year contract with EB.

Same SH|T different year. f–king LIARS.

EB renewed with DXC - but for only 3 of the 10 lines of service that were bid. The other seven went to Unisys - who bid on the contracts without ever having performed some of the services they won before. Shows how much faith EB has in DXC. EB's sister division DSD was one of if not the first outsourcing win CSC had in 1991. So 28 years of service p-ss-d away by Lawrie. GD/DSD did the work prior to 1991 not CSC. Either way, there is no wage equalization coming for those who support what's left. Most are levels 5-8 as techs, and they were told today no raises until the next merit cycle next year. DXC can't help but shoot itself repeatedly in the foot, punishing those who have suffered the longest, at the expense of those who have not. Other than Ed Ho, all people on today's call have been here less than a year....what would they know about what we have been through...

Electric boat built the machines for puritan that make swabs for coronavirus test dot-dot-dot emergency production act... Quite patriotic

I wanted to go work for electric boat but you've got to be on site and the last place I want to be in this world is some place that has snow in June

Maine is the most beautiful place on earth 6 weeks a year

That contract with CSC goes all the way back to the 60s
