I think Boeing will be building and shipping 747 freighters for quite some time. Unlike the Airbus giant, the 747 was designed from the outset to be a freighter. Turned out to be a pretty decent passenger jet, back when having four engines was necessary for going over the big water. Either way, that big airplane will be flying for quite a bit longer. . .unlike the 380.

No surprises here. Boeing indicated the sunsetting the 747, except for cargo, in 2017. And the A380 never had enough power in its engines. Airbus announced the end of the A380 in February 2019. With COVID-19, both timelines were accelerated by about 6 months.
