“Cool aid” poster has his/her head so far up TW &GS & rest of the antiques executives @ss, they can’t even see what’s going on in front of them. I hope he/she gets cut....

You can tell the folks who are either at a pay grade of director or above or are being paid by the corporation to lead the discussion in a certain direction....
I go back to the phrase, “would the customer agree to pay for the salary that someone previously posted??????????
If the long term picture for Allstate is in doubt without serious cuts, be enough of a leader to contribute to the salvation, not take the highest salary in the industry....
And for you who shared that Tom and Glens salary was equitable to performance, you must know more than the experts who look at these salaries and almost without fail have noted that they are higher than all peers for the performance that is being produced.....

Have any of you looked at the value of Allstate revenues year over year? TW is not measured on market share in P&C. He is measured on the growth of revenue, net income, and policy growth which he has done quite well at, especially with the acquisition of square trade. If your are comparing him to an insurance CEO you are doing so mistakenly. He has been very clear we are now a Data company. Arity, ST, ID Theft, Avail, Allstate Benefits, this is not simply a P&C company any longer. Heck, we were an investment company before investment income became so difficult! I hate to sound calous, but we work for a FOR profit publicly traded company whose number one purpose for existence is returning a profit to the owners of the company. State Farm, a mutual company has had 1000 upon 1000 of layoffs as well. It is tough, the timing is terrible, but it is the nature of capitalism. The same people mad about the layoffs would be equally as mad if they lost all their value in ALL stock or the pension went belly up because the company didn't make the tough decisions and ended up in CH 11. If you stop and step back,. It would be painful, but clear these changes are needed. I may be drinking the cool-aid but I believe he is doing all he can to set ALL up for long-term success by diversifying business lines and finally trimming the fat.

Not to mention that TW is also paid more than 5 times more than any other CEO...TW & GS & the rest of the antiques need to get cut or retire. Allstate needs new, young & not over paid leaders!!! TW & company are only interested in making them self’s more $$ on the backs of all the lower level employees & on the paying policy customers dime!!!!

Fully agree, of an executive merits a top salary in any industry, that company better clearly be the best in that industry in all measures.....

Why would any executive at Allstate be making a top ranked salary in the industry when the company has dropped to number 4 in size and is mediocre overall in customer service.
They have the gall to cap pay grades talking about average pay in the industry and you have an executive being paid like this?????
