Any input on how much severance you got based on title or years with the company? Many people on my team within corporate have gotten the same despite how long you have been with M....personally have been here 7 years as a manager (or now “specialist”) and am getting the same two months pay as colleagues who have been here 1-2 years. Any insight into how this was decided and if it can be negotiated on???!

It’s 1 week per year, However Executives get a minimum of 8 weeks if you have at least 1 year of service. Max of 26 weeks.
do they actually send the severance documents/forms, 15 days after the separation date? if you did not sign anything before leaving do they stick to their word and send to your mail/email? the message said you have 45 days after receiving, to sign and return. just wondering if i should trust them or be proactive.
What is "pro paid"?
You mean PTO?
That's a separate payroll check.
You will get your accrued PTO paid, minus anything you have already taken. You don't get all your eligible time for the year and if you were furloughed you already had some eligibility deducted from your total.
I am hourly and got 26 weeks.is pro paid separate? Or is it rolled into the severance?
Hourly get minimum 2 weeks
Executives get minimum 8 weeks.
Hiring an attorney at over $200/ hour is ludicrous. Macy's offers a standard package and they will not deviate from it period.
Not sure about all of the one week per year comments. Can confirm my team were all offered 8+ weeks regardless of time served
1week for each year served
If you are director level & above it (was) 1.5 weeks
All have a 26 week maximum
The cost of an attorney will outweigh the severance.Challenging Macy’s Inc is Davey vs.Goliath.
Has anyone had success getting an attorney and negotiating more severance? Macys should have offered early retirement if you were close...
That does not seem right. I got the standard one week for every completed full year with no break in service as an executive. The cap I think is 26 weeks. In the past if you have in less than a year you get 2 weeks minimum pay.
You can always have an attorney review your severance package to negotiate something better for you before you sign anything. Do not let them pressure you into anything.
I’ve always heard you got one weeks pay for every year you’ve been with the company
