Relentless Nepotism at SLB

SLB fills pages and pages with messages related to cost reduction but its actions reveal a different reality. How in the world a former product champion based in UK is kept as an expat Data Lab Manager? Is this job so unique and difficult that a UK employee can't do it? Can this guy be repatriated and do his job from his home country so we can truly save his expat related expenses?

This is ridiculous, we are cutting expats in the USA like crazy but this nepotism is alive and kicking in the UK. Be consistent and deliver one message, we are tired of the mixed communications.

Which company you're talking about? SLB is not kicking expats in US... far from the truth... I'm still milking this fat cow...

CLUE on why expats are sometimes not repatriated: they don't want them back but can't fire them. Not saying that is the case here but it does happen

Maybe you can report this on some UK gov website? I am not sure what resources are available to you there, but here in the USA there is a section Report Fraud on the USCIS website. When a company files a petition for an employee on L-1 or H-1B visa "theoretically" they need to prove that no one in the states is qualified to perform the duties. When they layoff an American in the same position as a temp. visa worker, how is it not a fraud?
