Does anyone know if you get to keep the discount with the severance package?

@kxp oh no.. I made a purchase today and my last day is tomorrow... Tomorrow is my separation date. I assumed since I was scheduled to work on the days leading up to my separation date, that I could get my discount on those days regardless of the bank details...????

Pay off balance and cancel that card if you are able. They have one if not the highest interest rates in the industry. Currently around 27.5% with a 38.00 payment fee. Any discount you get is swallowed by the interest rate if not paid in full immediately.

Discount is available on purchases made through your termination date. Call for an adjustment is something is missing. Sometimes it's just timing of the purchase posting to your credit account and can be easily corrected.

I made a purchase on the last day of my employment, but it didn't clear on my credit card until a few days later so I didn't get the discount applied.

Post-Employment Discount
Who qualifies for a post-employment colleague discount?
Colleagues (but not employees of vendor partners in licensed departments) and their eligible family
members are eligible for the Retiree Discount after employment ends if the colleague (a) has 25
consecutive years of eligible service with the company with no breaks in service, or (b) has 15
consecutive years of eligible service with no breaks in service if age 55 or older on the date of termination of employment.
For details on the definition of eligible service, please see the Colleague Discount Policy. You must make a call to credit services and speak to a supervisor to get this approved through HR. It isn't automatic upon separation from the company

Most, not all, items at Macy's purchased by employees with discount is 20%, yes a few categories are 10%. Whoever posted that if they were laid off they would shop elsewhere because 10% isn't enough to come back, must not even work for Macy's

@cbv+15EARAcW, if the purchase was charged to your card before your termination date, you should still receive it.

I have purchased a few things this week online and I am on furlough returning July 5th and I did get the employee discount. Thinking it would be offered until the 30th for those leaving.

Going off of this topic, does anyone know if the employee discount would be applied to purchases made before termination?

I was laid off last year, and the discount ended immediately.

If I was let go i would be shopping elsewhere. An extra 10% would not keep me coming back.
