Take advantage of working from home. If you need a break, tell them your computer keeps acting up. There have been issues all over the country. Just do what you need to do but take care of yourself because they don't care about you. Don't have regrets like many do of giving all to this company because there could be big surprises for you on the horizon. Remember that
What do you mean, "not if you have kids"? Does that give you the right to be nasty and cold-hearted? If so why did you have your children? Yes it is challenging to have the children at home while you are working. But then you need to teach your children that you need to work to provide for them and when you need to focus on work they have to let you. It is their responsibility. Sit down with them and explain to them instead of growling and yelling at them. While at home, enjoy their company. They are only small for so long and then they grow up. There are plenty of life lessons they will learn if you take the time to teach them and reinforce. If you let them run uncontrolled, when they grow up, what will they learn? That is ok to do what they want? Please they are the future, do not let them grow up to be like those self serving selfish executives. Be a good parent and teach your children values.
Not if you have kids
Agreed, that person must be part of the managment group who have no clue what we workers have to go through so we can support our family. That person is so nasty and cold-hearted. We are allow to express how we feel. Nothing written below was attacking anyone except what appears to be from management - the truth must hurt. It is not necessary to make bullying comments. Good thing you are working from home. Heaven how nasty you are to the workers when you are in. That is one positive thing when we work from home. Unless you are spending a lot of time calling people to harass them. If so, then you have no work to do and should be rifted.
To Post ID: @1mzx+15CrMqhQ stop bullying people. Employees have a right to say how they feel on this blog. Just because you feel differently doesn't give you the right to tell others to stop crying. You must be part of management.
You may want to ask your operations managers because there is a lot of realized savings besides outside electric and supply bills being lower. Postage has gone down, copying has gone down, cleaning of offices. There has been a tremendous savings for AIG and that's a fact
How is AIG saving money while we work remote outside electric and supply bills being lower? They still have to pay rent for all the office space regardless if people are there. AIG is saving a ton in travel expenses but heard AIG 200 swept that savings pretty quickly
I am not crying, I am just stating fact - it does cost me more money to work from home. It is balanced with maybe better work life balance. Yes I am grateful to have a job, and I work hard to make sure I provide value. You do not have to be so nasty and belligerent to your fellow workers.
Stop crying about it. You still have a job. And you're saving time money and agaggravation of commuting.
This is costing me more money because I had to upgrade my internet service, pay more in utilities and spend money to create a working area in my home as well. I don't have the good monitors either and am expected to pay to replace the broken one. I had to purchase furniture. The $500 they gave us doesn't cover what I have had to pay and we are expected to work at home until September. The company is saving a lot of money by having us work from home and should pass on some of the savings to us to help us cover the expenses we have had to endure.
Yeah, working from home is great. Give better worklife balance. The only issue is that we will not have the comradery where we can connect with each under. Guess good for management since they can control us better. Only thing is this is costing me more money since I had to upgrade my internet service, pay more in utilities and spend money to create a working area in my little home. The company does save a lot of money since these cost got passed to us. Hopefully they are using the money saved to save jobs and not put it in their pocket. Be nice if they give it to us to defray our additional cost.
nap in the morning and a nap in the afternoon. It is GREAT!
I think I left a tuna sandwich in my desk. Or maybe I left it under the soda machine....Hope my interview goes well so I can volunteer to be riffed next month. Only 3 more rifs to go this year! Go AIG!
I think it's outrageous that offices aren't opening until Sept. I would like the option to at least go in 1 day or 1/2 day a week. We are saving the company money and they should provide us with another stipen. For a majority it works out better, but for some who need more socialization it really isn't the best situation.
I enjoy having a good shag while being paid....regardless of whether the spouse is home or not!
Kicked out or not, it doesn't matter what's left on anyone's desk. I'm sure we all took everything needed right before we were told to stay at home because of the pandemic.
Yeah hope you didn't leave anything at your office desk for when they kick you out
great - you can stay there when you get sacked
