Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Dollar/Thrifty?

Does anyone know what is happening with the people that worked on the Dollar/Thrifty side of the Business? Are they going to close Dollar/Thrifty?

DTG will be a casualty of the fall of Hertz. You can only wonder what would have been if they would have tapped Thompson for the CEO position. May have been a whole new ball game.

The smaller AP markets in the west are doomed! There will be no resources committed to them. The direction has been to scale down all staffing at DTG. Expect total closure of some locations in the next 309 days.

So sad what has happened to DTG. We were a hard working family that turned nothing into something. Hertz came in and ran it straight to the ground. Even during my few years at Hertz I knew I could always count on what few DTG family there was left at Hertz for help and vice versa. Hertz people wouldn’t give you the time of day. Hertz could care less about their customers and even less about their employees.

PDX location is operating with a skeleton crew. Four CSRs, two managers, no return agents, and no VSAs.

The mother ship Hertz is going down you think they are going to save DTG! From the moment DTG was acquired you were treated like a worthless stepchild. Direction from Estero was always to let DTG burn to save Hertz. No change in strategy now. S— every penny out of DTG to help Hertz.
