Question about US severance and historical ISDB

May I please ask for clarification if you had past international assignments and was released while being HCM in US? What impact of US severance package to the historical ISDB (CTI CSI) accrued during assignment aboard? US HR won’t give me a straight answer and ASKHR keep on closing my tickets without answering. BACO is overwhelming busy and won’t answer either.

BACO final settlement will take 1-3 months , they said, which will be way after the deadline given by HR to accept severance package with blanket waiver agreement.

If you don’t sign US severance agreement, does it mean SLB won’t pay any severance??

US severance will take the entire seniority (IM, EM, HCR, HCM) for severance calculation with cap at 13, if your ITI (CSI +CTI) is more than US severance then the amount of (US severance per yr x IM yrs ) would be deducted from your final ITI. If your US severance is more than your ITI (contribution plus interest) , no ITI will be paid.

It’s said in IM handbook or the IM benefit statement somewhere, but not very clear.

I know a guy who signed his waiver after his deadline. They still paid it out.

Your seniority for the purpose of US severance will be considered from the time you became HCR/HCM. This way your CSI and CTI payment from BACO will be made in full and nothing from your local (US) severance will be deducted.

Any experience with this? I'd dream of getting this. Contact me on slbsucks@yahoo.com if you have experience with this. Would love to find precedent for it being handled this way.

I just signed a severance with another company. Twelve pages. You give up your rights to take legal action against them. Sign the waiver. They do not owe you sh– and they know it.

All your time employed by SLB (overseas, HCM or HCR) will count for your seniority and severance.

If you don’t sign the waiver, SLB will not pay the severance.
