Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

WFR UK

WFR email came out today in the UK asking for VR. I've heard it's 500 across the board. Will be finalised early June. I think this was coming even before covid. DXC/CSC just doesn't change despite all the 'change' up top.

same old same old - regular WFR, cutting costs, cutting services - there won't be an UK offering soon and what's left will likely to be carved up and sold off.

Was same back in the day, they took over from ICL in 2002 and tupe'd us across promising the earth.. used and abused tried to make us redundant shortly after then again after location transfer, ended up taking VR in the end 2008 as I was sick of the BS

So it turns out that CEO Mike's recent promises were a complete lie. He stated that he was going to be chopping primarily non-client-facing managers, and that he wasn't going to be aiming at the front-line workers who are out there delivering value to customers every single day. Now the truth comes out that it's going to be a bloodbath in the UK. Conversations with seriously talented technologists who are genuinely at the forefront of client delivery reveal that some of them are in pools which are aiming to cut over 50%. Here's a metaphor - Mo Farah cuts off his own legs to make him lighter when he runs his next marathon. Spoiler alert: it doesn't make him a faster runner.

Nothing changes with this company, particularly at the top. Indeed, if you Google images for MS and ML, they visibly share the similar physical characteristic of having close set eyes. And we all know what that means.
